Chris Suggs grew up in a “great town” in his earlier life, but in 2014, the city of Kinston, North Carolina was experiencing some organized gang activity and gun violence, sometimes with local youth.
So he came up with the idea of Kinston Teens, an organization developed to help Kinston’s future generations be inspired to reach their potential.
Features of the organization include street cleaning, mentor programs, and a youth leadership summit.
Since the organization began, it has gained over 1,000 members involved in the Kinston community.
